Adult Christian Education Schedule:
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, located at 1700 Makefield Road, Yardley offers classes in Christian Education on Sunday mornings at 8 and 9:30 a.m. these classes combined with the blog ( http://lcradulted.blogspot.com) and reading material available on the Church website: www.LCR-Yardley.org will provide you with information about the topics to be discussed and some helpful background material. While this is a class designed for adults, inquiring Christians from any point on their personal faith journey are welcome and encouraged to join us. Our schedule will roughly follow this timeline:
September 13: Welcome back, get to meet the facilitator and other class members.
September 20: Opening the Book of Faith, insights for Bible study, Session I.
September 27: Opening the Book of Faith, insights for Bible study, Session II
October 4 : Opening the Book of Faith, insights for Bible study, Session III.
October 11 : Opening the Book of Faith, insights for Bible study, Session IV.
October 18 : The Reformation: What was reformed and Why?
October 25 : The Reformation: Who are the participants?
November 1 : The Reformation: What hath Martin wrought?
November 8 : Introduction to Christian Theology: We believe WHAT?
November 15 : Introduction to Christian Theology: can you believe we’re first?
November 22 : Introduction to Christian Theology: Doctrine and its origin.
November 29 : Introduction to Christian Theology: the Sacraments.
December 6 : Introduction to Christian Theology: Protestant disagreements.
December 13 : My brain hurts! Summary and discussion of class to date.
